The Fold(s) is a curatorial project composed of four books operating as four individual exhibitions. Under the artistic direction of Luísa Santos, The Fold(s) was developed in the context of the Seminar in Curatorship by the MA and PhD students in Culture Studies of the Lisbon Consortium, Faculty of Human Sciences, Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
The books were designed by Raquel Guerreiro.How do social interactions have changed during the Covid-19 pandemic? This is the research question of the collective “COVISIONI:" which during the last year (from March 2020 to 2021) has aimed to elaborate the contemporary social landscape through photography and the sensibility of its forty different authors.
Reflecting on the cultural, political, and situated practices conducted by Irish and other artists from PHROOM international archive, “On Possibilities of Frictions" attempts to provide effort in connecting the local and the global to not homogenise identities and representations but activate a critical global circulation of images.
