INFINITE CREATIVITY FOR A FINITE WORLD, A RETROSPECTIVE

Abstract

Anna Bernagozzi, curator of the ExpoAction "Infinite Creativity for a Finite World" will propose a virtual guided tour of the ExpoAction that took place in Paris, La Villette, in the framework of the Event "100%, l’Expo", from the 30th of March until the 18th of April 2021.

She will share and explain the unique format of the "ExpoAction" that aims to highlight the capacity of each Actor to actively engage in the co-construction of a desirable future and to seek out, reveal and enhance modest and sober practices whose resilience has been proven over time.

Each Action is in progress, carried out by a new generation of designers committed to the long term development of collective creative impulses revealing the power of the social link. Each Action affirms the need for a "civic design" that allows the "acting" spectator to experience the impact of his or her actions in a world whose finitude we all now recognise.

Starting from socially, politically and economically vulnerable, complex and conflicting situations, ExpoAction shows the capacity of co-design to direct the infinite creativity of each individual through sustainable, responsible, concrete and restorative Actions that respect the fragility of human and non-human beings and of living and non-living entities.

The variety of projects presented is an encouragement to Actions towards a new plural art of living, in a particularly complex period of transition from a "parasitic society" to a "symbiotic society". In this symbiotic, sensitive and borderless society, the awareness of the uniqueness

and the diversity of each individual will contribute to the regeneration of the whole, its resources and creative potential will be articulated to adapt and react locally to the constant environmental changes and to co-create new objects/tools that are at the same time participative, modest and ingenious.
